What is a Professional Guardian?
A Professional Guardian is an individual or organization appointed by the court to make decisions on behalf of someone who is unable to manage their own personal, financial, or healthcare affairs due to age, illness, or incapacity. The role of a Professional Guardian is critical in ensuring that the individual’s rights, dignity, and well-being are protected.

What Does Guardianship Entail?
As a Professional Guardian, the responsibilities include a wide range of duties aimed at safeguarding the best interests of the individual. These responsibilities may include:
-
Medical Decisions: Making healthcare decisions, coordinating medical care, and ensuring that the individual receives appropriate treatment.
-
Living Arrangements: Determining and arranging suitable living accommodations, whether that’s in their own home with support or in a specialized facility.
-
Legal Representation: Acting as the legal representative in various matters, ensuring the individual’s rights are upheld.
-
Advocacy: Serving as an advocate, ensuring that the individual’s wishes are respected as much as possible and that they receive the care and support they need.

How is a Guardianship Established?
To remain efficient and above board, Esther has created a new entity called EverCare Guardianship services. We are committed to providing the highest level of care and advocacy as a Professional Guardian. If you or a loved one are in need of guardianship services, here's how I can help:
-
Initial Consultation: We begin with a confidential consultation to assess your situation and discuss your specific needs and concerns. This meeting allows you to learn more about how EverCare can support you or your loved one. At this stage, the EverCare Attorney is also consulted to determine whether guardianship is appropriate and necessary.
-
Court Petition: If it is determined that guardianship is necessary, EverCare guardian attorney is consulted to assist in the legal process by helping to prepare and file the petition with the court. This step includes providing the necessary documentation and evidence to support the need for guardianship.
-
Court Appointment: Upon review, the court will hold a hearing to determine the need for guardianship. If the court approves, EverCare will be officially appointed as the guardian. From there, I will begin managing the necessary aspects of care and decision-making.
-
Ongoing Support: As your guardian, EverCare will maintain regular communication with you and your family, provide updates on all decisions and care plans, and ensure that all aspects of the guardianship are handled with the utmost respect and professionalism.
-
Your Advocate: Throughout the guardianship, my primary goal is to be your advocate—ensuring that all decisions made are in your best interest and aligned with your values and wishes.
If you believe that you or a loved one could benefit from EverCare guardianship services, please reach out to me to schedule an initial consultation. I am here to provide the care, support, and advocacy you need to navigate this important aspect of life with confidence and peace of mind.
